The Randle S. Thomas Memorial Scholarship Fund offers Cypress Fairbanks ISD Automotive Technology students who are headed to college or vocational school for auto mechanics related degrees or certification a one time scholarship opportunity. This scholarship fund is for students with financial need who display academic achievement, a commitment to serving others (in school, their community, or at home), a strong work ethic, and leadership qualities.
Randle Scott Thomas, of Houston, Texas, was born on December 19, 1962, and passed away on January 30, 2022.
Randle just recently retired from Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District. He was an Auto-Tech Instructor at Cy-Falls High School for 18 years, he started the program at Cy-Falls. He was a sponsor of the Cy-Falls Men of Honor Club. Prior to that, he was an Auto-Tech Instructor for San Jacinto College for 17 years.
Randle was also involved in the Boy Scouts of America, Sam Houston Area Council. He was Cub Master of Pack 771, Committee Chairman for Troop 277 and was involved with the Colonneh Lodge Order of the Arrow and Soaring Eagle District. In lieu of flowers, Randle requested a Scholarship Fund be set up for Cypress-Fairbanks I.S.D. Automotive Students to further their education in automotive technology.

Applications will open in the fall of 2022 for the 2023 school year.

In leiu of flowers, Randle requested a Scholarship Fund be set up for Cypress-Fairbanks I.S.D. Automotive Students to further their education in automotive technology. This fund is managed by the Cypress Fairbanks Educational Foundation, which we have partnered to help maintain the fund in perpetuity. They will match any scholarship awarded by the fund. We are greatful for this partnership that allows us to have the greatest impact on the students applying for the Scholarship through the use of these generous donations.
